More homebuyers could qualify for mortgage protection in 2027

The Dutch government will increase the National Mortgage Guarantee (NHG) limit from 470,000 to 500,000 euros on January 1, 2027. Buyers of energy-efficient homes can qualify for a higher threshold of 530,000 euros, and those purchasing homes with energy labels E, F, or G will receive additional financing for energy-saving improvements.
